Our Story
Built by a beauty lover, for beauty lovers.
I remember thinking: I wish there was a place where real people could just tell you
whether something actually works. Not influencers being paid to say nice things.
Not magazine ads dressed up as reviews. Just honest opinions from people who'd actually
used the stuff.
So I built it. It started as a hobby — a little corner of the internet where
beauty lovers could share reviews and swap tips. I had no grand plan. I just wanted
to stop wasting money, and I figured other people felt the same way.
Turns out, they did.
From hobby to community
What started as a side project grew into something I never expected. Over 40,000 people
signed up to share their reviews, post their looks, and help each other figure out
what's worth buying. The community became the heart of GlamGeek — thousands of
real beauty lovers looking out for each other.
Keeping up with it all became a full-time job. The product database alone was relentless
— new launches every week, brands reformulating, products being discontinued. But
it mattered, because people were relying on it to make better choices.
More than reviews
Over the years, I've grown GlamGeek into something much bigger than I originally imagined.
We now cover products and pricing across multiple countries, with brand pages, detailed
product information, and — the bit I'm most proud of — proper price comparison.
That wasn't part of the plan at the start, but it became obvious pretty quickly that
people didn't just want to know if something was good. They wanted to know
where to get it for the best price. So now you can compare prices across all
the major retailers in one place, instead of opening fifteen tabs and losing the will
to live.
At the end of the day, it's about saving you money. That's always been the point.
A small team with a big mission
GlamGeek isn't just me. Over the years I've built a team of beauty writers across
eight countries who care about honest, useful content as much as I do.
What's next
2026 is a big year for us. We're giving GlamGeek a proper revamp — making it
faster, smarter, and more useful than ever. A big focus is on keeping you in the loop
with personalised notifications: when a product you love drops in price, when your
favourite brand launches something new, or when there's a deal you'd genuinely want
to know about.
No spam. No noise. Just the stuff that matters to you.
After fifteen years, I still get excited about this. I still try far too many products.
I still get unreasonably annoyed by misleading marketing. And I still believe that
the best beauty advice comes from real people, not ad campaigns.
Thanks for being part of it.
